CENAPOP - CENTRO POPULAR DE CULTURA E COCIDADANIA

The CENAPOP - CENTER OF POPULAR CULTURE AND COCIDADANIA Created in 1986, started its activities in the municipality of Caucaia-EC with educational activities aiming to strengthen popular struggles and the dissemination of knowledge of reality environmental, cultural and historical socio excluded communities.

Throughout its history, as a Center of Studies and as CENAPOP, several projects, talks, moves, videos, among many other socio-educational and cultural activities, with the target audience preferred young women were executed.

In 2007, the CENAPOP began its promotion of LGBT rights, creating the "FOR RAINBOW - Film Festival of Sexual Diversity and Culture", an event held annually in Fortaleza and its predominant public youth. This event has major partner with the Municipality of Fortaleza, through the Coordinator of Sexual Diversity.


REFERENCE PROJECTS

Conhecer para Preservar Project - Training of 20 young people to act as environmental educators and eco-tourism guides from the perspective of preservation of Ceará River and its mangrove. Partnership - Community Council of Iparana Botanical park of Ceará, Environment Caucaia Foundation, Department of Education of the City of Caucaia, LABOMAR / UFC.

Coisas do Mar Project - Youth Training Iparana through various workshops addressing topics related to ecology and sustainable development, using natural materials and recyclables, found the sea, in the manufacture of quality crafts, targeting income generation and environmental awareness .

Maracatu Nação Caiçara - with children and adolescents in Iparana Caucaia community.

Fábrica das Artes Project - Training young people and their families in various art techniques in tissue, such as: use of flaps (yoyos, patchworks, plots); stamping embroidery, dyeing plant etc. All this from a perspective of developing creative potential to promote income generation.

Maria Vem com as Outras Project - Education group of women through embroidery techniques in stamping which develops the approach of diverse issues related to gender and environment, disseminating the culture of solidarity economy.

Irradiando o verde project - Training in Environmental Education and Communication for the training of young eco-communicators to work in community radio program in the city of Umirim-Ceará.

Patativa do Assaré Project - Itinerant Poetry "that will distribute" poetic chests "in 35 points of culture and cultural spaces of Ceará, with an overview of the work and history of the Bakewell Patativa. From this initial collection of available multimedia exhibitions will be held in those areas covered by the project, seeking to encourage people to Ceara celebrated annually on 05 March birth of the artist, as "Dia Patativa do Assaré".
